Spitfire props

8 spitfires made in epoxy model board and cut using a 5 axis CNC router. Wingspan 650mm. The gold finish was applied using the vacuum metallising technique. One plane has a breakaway tail, 2 have wings that appear to snap, 2 have self contained, self extinguishing flame units, and three have built in miniature smoke machines. Built for Opera North's production of Croesus.
A time consuming and expensive way to build props, but in this case necessary due to their functions and use.
